This month’s Velocity Sports Performance Top Performer of the Month is the Loudoun County Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Management’s Recruit Classes 21 and 22.  As a part of its Recruit Training physical training program, Velocity’s certified and degreed Coaching Staff created and implemented a customized modification of its proven adult fitness program, VFitness. Like its standard VFitness Program, the goal of the Recruit program was to improve overall fitness and conditioning so as to enhance the performance, stamina and resilience of these Fire and Rescue professionals. Average improvements for these recruits were; increased Pull-Ups by 48%, Push-Ups by 30%, Sit-Ups by 13% and Squats by 26%. Many of the recruits also cited improved cardio capacity, balance and flexibility, strength, muscle tone and weight loss.

Velocity Sports Performance is committed to the communities it serves and their public service providers. Velocity is proud of their relationship with Loudoun County Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Management and the results their recruit classes achieved. Velocity applauds these professionals and supports the important work they do.

Velocity’s VFitness program is unique and highly effective as it not only emphasizes cardiovascular and strength development, but also teaches active adults the proper way to improve their stamina and resilience. This dynamic combination enables substantial gains in an adult’s functional strength, balance, and conditioning. “Both the recruits and the Recruit Training Staff have been exceptionally pleased with the fitness program Velocity has developed and implemented here at the Fire Academy.  I feel strongly that the workouts have not only helped the recruits improve with their fitness evaluations, but also as led to increased performance and stamina on the training ground.  Velocity has exceeded our expectations with their administration of our physical fitness training program.” James Williams, Loudoun County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management, Captain-Recruit Training
