We are so pleased with the results our daughter Caitlin achieved at Velocity Performance in Ashburn. Caitlin asked to do Velocity training during the 6-7 weeks between her high school volleyball season and her club volleyball season. She wanted to make a select club team with the ultimate goal of playing at the college level. We were skeptical that she would stick with it. Like most athletes, conditioning is not her favorite thing to do.
To our surprise she really liked the workouts. She really enjoyed the fact that the workouts were designed to concentrate on improving skills that were specific to her sport. The instructors were very organized so there wasn’t a lot of wasted time and they varied the workouts so they were tough but never boring. The one-on-one attention and personal feedback she received from the trainers was extremely helpful and motivating for Caitlin. As a high school Junior with a packed schedule that also includes a job, she insisted on attending sessions, even on days when we suggested maybe she skip a session to have some down time. She could feel that the program was making a difference and that was incredibly motivating!
Velocity is also top notch at measuring results. Caitlin was put through a series of drills at her first session and then these same skills were tested at the end of the 7 weeks. Not only was she given a written report showing the results, they also provided a DVD showing the athlete doing the drills on day one and then superimpose the athlete doing the drills again after having gone through the program so you can actually see the progress. Caitlin was very pleased with her results. Not only did she improve her speed and agility but she gained 2” in her vertical jump which was her number one goal! We strongly recommend Velocity Performance to anyone who is serious about improving their athletic performance.
