Dustin Townsend joined Velocity Sports Performance in 2006, with the opening of Velocity, Carlsbad. He is currently the Director of Business Development for Carlsbad and San Diego and handles all team, club and off-site training programs for Velocity throughout San Diego County.

Dustin joined Velocity after having trained with the company as an athlete playing on the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour and looking for a career change that would allow him to be more involved in the field of Sports Performance. He brought with him 10 years of experience in business development and sales within the financial industry. He played volleyball at the collegiate level for Western Washington University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Marketing.
