Lauren was born and raised in
Norwood,
MA. In high school she was a member of the volleyball, basketball and softball teams. She was a four year starter for the volleyball and basketball teams and captained both teams her junior and senior year. Lauren attended
Boston
College and got her degree in Communications and Sociology. She missed playing at a competitive level, so she joined the Women’s Club Water Polo program and played for four years. While at BC, Lauren worked in the Sports Marketing and Intramural departments. Following college, she was the Athletic Development Assistant at the Brown University Sports Foundation. Lauren moved to
San Diego in January and joined the Velocity team in February 2009.
