Education and Certification:

  • Minor in Business Management, Western Illinois University, 2004
  • MS in Athletic Administration, Eastern Illinois University, 2007
  • NSCA-CSCS since 2004
  • USA Weightlifting Certification, 2008
Experience/Achievements:
  • United States Marine Corps -Sgt. Infantry Section Leader, 1996-2000
  • Strength & Conditioning Coach Intern, Chicago Bulls, 2004-2005
  • Strength & Conditioning Coach Graduate Assistant, Eastern Illinois University, 2005-2007; in charge of program design and implementation for the NCAA Division 1 wrestling team, men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, women's rugby and assisted with Ohio Valley Football champions
  • Competed in Professional Mixed Martial Arts since 2000; over 30 professional fights
  • Extensive training in wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, and submission grappling
  • Veteran of Ultimate Fighting Championship; UFC 59 at Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, CA
  • Veteran of BodogFight: competed on national television for BodogFight season 2, Russia
  • Actively competing at the top level of the sport
