Juliet Anderson

Biography

Juliet grew up in Chapel Hill, NC and moved to Raleigh in 1997 to attend Cardinal Gibbons High School (CGHS).  There she led Gibbons to three NCISAA state championships, undefeated from her sophomore year on (80-0).  They were ranked #9 on Vball.com in 2000 (Final National Top 25 Poll).  She was named TISAC & NCISAA player of the year, 2000 NCISAA all-state, Raleigh Sports Club Wake County Scholar Athlete of the Week (10/6/99), 2000-01 Wake County Volleyball Player of the Year, News & Observer 2000 Volleyball Player of the Year, Cardinal Gibbons 2000-01 Female Athlete of the Year and is the school record holder for career kills (661), single season kills (227), career blocks (516), single season blocks (182), and most blocks in a match (16).  She was recruited to play at UNC-Wilmington, receiving Dean’s list and Chancellor's Achievement Award while earning her degree in Exercise Science along with a minor in Community Health.  She was nominated for UNCW’s outstanding graduate award in 2005.
 
She was offered a graduate assistantship and decided to further her education at East Carolina University obtaining her Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology while coaching and playing club volleyball for the university.  Juliet is a certified Clinical Exercise Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM-CES) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through NSCA.  She enjoys working with athletes of all ages while implementing education through exercise.
