Kiersten Langel

Biography
Kiersten Langel is a physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist. Kiersten attended Haddonfield Memorial High School. She swam for her high school, where she was an All-American, and the Jersey Wahoos, where she was a Junior National Qualifier. In 2003, Kiersten graduated from Brown University, where she was a member of the varsity swim team.
After graduation, Kiersten wanted to combine her passion for sports and fitness with her interest in injury rehabilitation and prevention. Kiersten enrolled in Duke University’s graduate program in Physical Therapy. While at Duke, Kiersten did a clinical rotation at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in their Sports Medicine department where she worked with their ACL prevention program. She also had the opportunity to spend time volunteering with the Assistant Physical Therapist to the Athletic Department, working closely with many student athletes. In May 2008 she graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Kiersten is enjoys working with athletes, as they move from initial injury to their return to sports. She has a special interest in treating injured swimmers using her expertise of swimming mechanics, combined with her education in physical therapy, to keep swimmers in the water and help them return to the previous level of competition.
As Kiersten starts her career in physical therapy, she also looks forward to her wedding in September to South Jersey basketball player, Casey Langel from Moorestown, NJ.
