Mandy Huggard

Position: Director of Physical Therapy

Biography

Mandy is the owner of The Training Room, Sports & Orthopaedic Physical Therapy.  She is a licensed physical therapist, a certified athletic trainer and a certified strength and conditioning specialist with extensive experience in treating athletic injuries. 
 
Mandy graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Rehabilitation.  She continued on to the University of Miami where she completed a Master's of Science degree in Physical Therapy.  While at the University of Miami she interned with the nationally ranked Hurricane Football Program assisting in athletic coverage and rehabilitation for the athletes.  Upon leaving University of Miami, Mandy worked with the world renowned orthopaedic surgeon James Andrews and physical therapist, Kevin Wilk in Birmingham, Alabama. 
 
As both a licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer, Mandy has treated patients from many professional organizations.  Mandy has lectrued nationally on the topics of shoulder, knee, and elbow rehabilitation as well as, co-authored a chapter entitled Rehabilityation Concerns of the Upper Extrmity in Dr. mary Lloyd Ireland's book, The Female Athlete.  Mandy currently serves on staff as an adjunct facilty member at Temple University in the Graduate Athletic Training Program where she teaches Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and she is currently working on her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.  Her husband, Cary is the Co-Owner of Velocity Sports Performance.
