Our team began training at Velocity in 2003. Your training was a vital piece of our team’s overall training program. Your team training program helped our players improve their speed, agility, strength, quickness, and level of fitness. The fact that your trainers geared the program to highlight the physical skills required to play soccer was truly an added bonus.
Your training program coupled with our team’s technical and tactical soccer training enabled us to compete at the highest levels of the state, regional, and national competitions. There is no doubt that Velocity played an integral role in our back to back State Championships, Regional Championship and ultimately our run to the National Championship’s Final Four.
As you know when athletes compete, even the most fit and prepared athletes sustain injuries. Mandy, John, Meghan and The Training Room staff do a fantastic job of rehabilitating injuries and getting the players healthy and back on the field. The personal attention coupled with the knowledge and expertise in sports injury rehabilitation is the best around.

I began training at Velocity seven months ago. I am convinced that the personal training programs at Velocity offer the perfect mix of exercises for anyone serious about his or her health and fitness.
As a fifty year old I have experienced nearly every fitness program ever devised, from long distance running to heavy weight training and everything in between. I have also begun to experience the nagging aches, pains and injuries that plague all of us in middle age who want to continue to enjoy the activities that are so much a part of our lives. For a number of years I have been convinced that a new and more innovative workout program was necessary in order to achieve my long term fitness goals which include weight control, flexibility, core strength, low heart rate and blood pressure and protection from injury. I have found all this at Velocity.
The facilities and the personal trainers at Velocity enable you to complete a full and uninterrupted workout consisting of stretching, aerobics, weight training and especially core strengthening exercises. The workouts are challenging but enjoyable. Your trainer will set up the entire program and move you through it assuring that you complete every exercise properly and for maximum benefit. Each individual’s strengths and weaknesses are considered in tailoring his or her individual workout. You could never achieve the same program or results at a local gym. The Velocity experience is totally different.
The improvements to my health and fitness are easy to see. I have gained endurance, flexibility and overall strength. I have achieved the most significant gains in the core of my body, and in middle age and beyond there is nothing more important than protecting that core. The results are obvious from the way I feel the moment I get out of bed. And as further proof, I am able to hit a golf ball 15 to 20 yards longer than I could a year ago.
To achieve marked improvements in your health and fitness you don’t need to be an expert or have a lifetime of experience. All you have to be is serious about improving and the training program at Velocity will do the rest for you. I am a true believer.

I have been working out since high school to prepare for that year’s upcoming baseball season, but I have never been more ready than I will be this year. Since hiring Matt as my trainer, I have discovered what it means to “train” as opposed to “work out.” To me, training suggests that there is something to be achieved as a result of the hard work. Matt knows my goals as well as I do, and with the knowledge of physiology and how it pertains to baseball, he created a plan that will have me in the best shape of my life heading into spring training and the season. Each day, the workout is extremely challenging and also functional in its relationship to baseball. Speed, explosive power, agility, balance, and core strength have been the focus of our training. We cover all of these aspects daily with a diversity of exercises that never becomes dull or repetitive. Because of Matt’s guidance and motivation, the split seconds and fractions of inches will be in my favor.

Matthew has had a wonderful experience at Velocity since day one. The coaches are fantastic. Every coach that Matt had explained to the kids exactly what needed to be done for each exercise and was always there to give each kid encouragement when they were having a problem with an exercise. It was great to see Matt develop at each station as each session went by. Velocity has given Matt the confidence to succeed and work hard to accomplish his goals. I want to let you know how pleased my son, Charlie, and I have been with the training Charlie has received at Velocity. Your staff has been courteous and professional throughout the several months that we have been coming to Velocity. Although there are many facilities located much closer to our home, the long drive to Velocity has been well worth our time.
In particular, I would like to bring to your attention the outstanding job Kevin Stewart did in working with Charlie to improve his sprint performance. Kevin’s expertise, his ability to clearly communicate and teach new skills, and his consistent encouragement throughout the training process are to be commended. In addition, Kevin did an excellent job of preparing Charlie for all of his scheduled track events and we truly appreciate his efforts.
