Ryan started his career as strength and conditioning coach
at
Kansas
State
University,
helping to contribute to the 2003 Big XII Conference Championship. After leaving
Kansas
State
he went on to become the strength and conditioning coach at Texas
A&M-Commerce, and to pursue his masters degree in Kinesiology and Sport
Studies. In 2005 Ryan joined the
Velocity Sports Performance team in Coppell and was a coach there for two
years. He then moved on to become the
assistant sports performance director at Integrated Athletic Development in
Carrollton,
Texas. In the fall of 2007, Ryan went into the sales
industry before returning to us here at Velocity Sports Performance in the
spring of 2008. He is now the Community
Relations Manager and works to promote our programs, develop partnerships with
different sports associations, and educate the community on what Velocity
Sports Performance can offer someone who is looking to improve their
athleticism or overall fitness level.
Ryan graduated with his bachelor’s degree from
Bethany
College
in
Kansas
where he played quarterback for the Swedes and helped contribute to two
conference championships in 1999 and 2001. Ryan completed his master’s degree in the fall of 2004 along with two
professional certifications, one as a certified strength and conditioning
specialists from the NSCA, and one as a Club Coach from the USAW.
