Mark Troutman, a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is owner and director of the Greensboro, NC Velocity Sports Performance.  Mark played tennis while attending The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received Atlantic coast Conference Academic Honor Roll Honors in 1979 and 1980.  Mark has also been tennis professional for 23 years and has worked with legendary greats including Don Budge, Harry Hopman, John Gardiner and Ken Rosewall.

Mark has played professional tennis in Europe and has won a national title and 13 state titles within the last ten years (including the 2006 Father-Daughter State Title with his daughter Mari Taylor).  Mr. Troutman was elected the United States Professional Tennis Association’s North Carolina Tennis Professional of the Year in 2002 and received the USPTA Southern Division 35 and Over Player of the Year in 1998. 

Mark was the Vice-President of the USPTA in North Carolina and is on the National Advisor Staff for Nike and Head Racket Sports.  In 1999, Mark published an article in the USPTA national magazine – ADDvantage.
