Erik Kasabuske

Biography
Erik was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. He has six years of coaching experience in the sports performance field. During college Erik first began his career as a high school track and field coach. He then interned at Froedtert Sports Medicine Center as a performance coach. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Wisconsin Lutheran College, where he played four years of college football, Erik went to Utah State University to assume a graduate assistant position. Beginning in 2008, Erik took on the role as interim head strength & conditioning coach at Utah State, overseeing the strength & conditioning programs for all varsity sports.
After graduating from Utah State with a Master’s of Education Erik accepted a performance coaching position at Velocity Sports Performance in Redondo Beach, CA. During his time in Redondo he was an assistant sports performance director and the strength specialist for our 2008-09 NFL Combine class. In that class he coached 5 1st round draft picks and had two players break the 225 lbs. bench press records for their position.
Erik is currently an elite level powerlifter in the IPF (International Powerlifting Federation). His best competition so far was the 2009 Men’s Open Nationals in which he finished 2nd place with a 765 lbs. total. His best lifts are a 688 lbs. squat, 429 lbs. bench, and 650 lbs. deadlift.
