Tammy Davenport

Biography

Tammy brings over 20 years of experience in the fields of Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy.  She attended both Mississippi State University and Mississippi College before graduating Cum Laude from University Medical Center with a B.S. in Physical Therapy in 1986.  She completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University in January 2006.
 
Tammy began her career with Mississippi Baptist Medical Center as a coordinator of the TMJ program and then went on to work at Health South in Birmingham, AL, where she was quickly promoted to Acting Director.  In 1991, she became Director of Rehabilitation Services at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
 
Tammy founded her private practice, Good Samaritan Physical Therapy, Inc. in 1996.  It provided physical, occupational, respiratory and speech therapy services to health agencies, schools, nursing homes and hospitals.  Good Samaritan Physical Therapy now has four outpatient therapy clinics.
 
Tammy is one of six children of Ray and Nora English of Vicksburg.  Tammy is very active in local recreational and sporting events as well as the high school sports in the Vicksburg and Jackson areas.  She and her family are active members of Bowmar Baptist Church in Vicksburg.
