Biography
BYU:
- Finished his career as the leading rushing in BYU history with 3,193 career yards
- Only runner in BYU history to rush for 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons
- Named to the preseason Doak Walker award watch list
- Named first-team All-Mountain West Conference
- Became the first running back-quarterback tandem in school history to throw for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in the same season twice in their careers
- Named preseason All-Mountain West selection by The Sporting News, Blue Ribbon, Athlon and Phil Steele
- Senior year: set the all-time BYU rushing record with a season-long 49-yard touchdown run
- 2005: As a junior, ranked as the 11th best player (at any position) in the MWC by College Football News
- 2002: As a freshman, earned team's Top Offensive Rookie award
After graduating from Paraclete HS, was recruited by Washington State, UCLA, Idaho State, Clemson, Miami (OH).
