Biography
 
Coach Vick joins Velocity Sports Performance with 14 years of coaching experience in Speed, Strength and Athletic performance as well as weightlifting, soccer, track and water polo.  Over the course of his career he has coached hundreds of elite athletes represented in the NFL, NBA, NHL, AVP, the last 3 Summer & Winter Olympic Teams and over 50 NCAA Division I and NAIA schools. 
 
Prior to coming to Velocity Sports Performance, Coach Vick headed Performance Edge, which has served elite and youth athletes in the South Bay for over 9 years.  He served as the Western U.S. Director of Sports Performance for HealthSouth, and has worked extensively in both sports performance and sports medicine settings.  He served as assistant strength coach for the Los Angeles Kings of the NHL, head strength coach for the Los Angeles Avengers of the AFL and the Long Beach Ice Dogs of the IHL. 
 
Coach Vick’s expertise has been relied on by numerous sports organizations including USA Weightlifting where he was a member of the 2000 Jr. World Championship staff, as well as NIKE Basketball, Hockey and SAQ, the Los Angeles Clippers, Michael Jordon’s Senior Flight School, the AVP and the West Coast Sports Medicine Foundation. 
 
Coach Vick earned his Bachelor’s degree from Columbia College and has completed graduate studies in Biomechanics and Motor Control at Long Beach State.
