                                        Bridge Program

Bridging the gap from “Rehabilitation” to “On field readiness”

The Bridge Program at Velocity Sports Performance in Mahwah is the answer to the question, “Where do I go after my physical therapy is done, to complete my return to on field/court readiness.” The Bridge program is a progressive system designed to bring injured athletes back to speed while staying within their limits set by their doctors. The program focuses on the following:

  • Neuromuscular reeducation, balance and proprioception
  • Improving Multidirectional movement including lateral movement, stop/start, change of direction, and lateral stability
  • Modified strength program designed around the athletes injury including upper body strength/stability as well as lower body and posterior chain
  • First step quickness, acceleration and maximum linear speed
  • Overall conditioning
  • Injury prevention
  • Extensive core strengthening
  • Working with the athlete’s doctor or physical therapist to determine guidelines for training
