Tommy Smith is proud to be a member of the Performance Coaching staff at Velocity Sports Performance of Memphis. He graduated from
Samford
University
in
Birmingham
,
Alabama
with a Bachelor of Science in Fitness and Health Promotions. He is also a native to the
Memphis
area graduating from
Whitehaven
High School
where he was all city, metro, and state on the football team. He went to
Samford
University
and was a four year starter for the bulldogs, as a part of the offensive line that allowed the fewest sacks in the nation in 2007 and had a rusher for over 1,000 yards two straight seasons under Heisman trophy winner Pat Sullivan. He was an intern with the Samford Bulldog strength and conditioning program helping with the school’s football and baseball teams as well as participated in the S.M.A.R.T. program coaching the university’s children. He also was a part of the fundraising team for Samford’s charity races and activities and presented a biomechanics research project at the 2008
American
College
of Sports Medicine convention. Tommy is excited to be a part of Velocity Sports Performance of Memphis, helping athletes reach their goals through training.
