Biography

Robert Weatherly joined Velocity from Murray, KY in June 2004 and holds the role of Center Director / Sports Performance Director. Robert received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science from Murray State University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, a certified Sport Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting and a SPARQ certified coach. 
 
While at MSU he was on the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Robert, Prior to joining Velocity’s team, worked full time as an Exercise Specialist, Fitness Coordinator, and Personal Trainer at the Center for Health and Wellness at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Working with Phase III Cardiac Rehab patients and also helping in the Physical Therapy department.
 
In addition to his roles at the hospital, he was an assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at MSU where he worked with the football, volleyball, soccer, track, basketball and baseball teams. He was responsible for overseeing their daily training regimen in the weight room and designing their year-round training programs, helping all MSU teams under his guidance to conference titles.  
 
Robert was an All-OVC baseball player his senior season at MSU as a designated hitter and first baseman. He lettered all four years of his collegiate career. He was also a four-year baseball letterman in high school, as well as lettering in basketball and football, being inducted into Murray High School’s Hall of Fame. 
 
Robert is excited to have found a new home with Velocity where he can continue his dedication to helping others maximize their performance, lead healthier lives and enjoy a boost in confidence.
