Biography

Julie Barbee joined Velocity Sports Performance Missouri City in Dec. 2007 working at the front desk. In July 2008, she helped reactivate the Cy-Fair location as Operations Coordinator. April 2009, Julie was promoted to Community Relations Manager at the Missouri City location.
 
Julie began playing competitive sports at the age of five. She was active in numerous sports - until her left-knee surgeries slowed her down in 1999 & 2001. Julie is a 2002 El Campo High School honor graduate and Texas Scholar. She was a four-year letterman in Swimming and a three-year member of the 2002 national award winning El Campo Derby Dolls dance team.
 
Julie received her Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in Business Marketing and Mass Communication from Houston Baptist University in 2008. She completed a sports marketing internship in 2006 at Competitive Athlete Training Zone (CATZ) and A-Train Sports in Austin as well as a television production internship in 2008 with a company based in Denmark. She also worked in aquatic center management for the City of El Campo. Julie has been a certified lifeguard and professional rescuer for ten years.
