Basketball Coach
Reports to: Basketball Director
Job Responsibilities: Coach Velocity Sports Performance basketball travel teams and leagues. Duties also include customer service, and quality assurance.
Most Important Monthly Contribution: Deliver world-class coaching and service to clients.
Velocity Sports Performance now offers the most comperhensive basketball developmental program in the Chciagoland area. By combining advanced, progressive performance training with high level coaching for team and individual basketball instruction Velocity offers somthing that no other program can.
Velocity Basketball Programs:
Fall Developmental League - September & October
November 1 - February 15 (Off for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year)
High School - Spring Travel Teams - April - July
Youth & Junior High - Spring Travel Teams - April - June
What it takes to coach Velocity teams:
- Passion for the game of basketball
- Experience coaching
- Ability to learn and adapt to different teaching styles
- Desire to teach the game at a competitive level
- Extremely high motivation and energy level
- Strong people skills
- Willing to travel on weekends (8 weekends for each program - most tournaments within 1.5 hrs from Velocity)
