Biography

Granted an additional year of eligibility, McKnight returned to the starting lineup at "X" receiver in 2006. He started every game, finishing second on the team with 67 receptions for 907 yards (13.5 avg.) as his 15 touchdowns ranked second in Division I-A. He picked up 5 yards on a reverse and recorded one solo tackle.
 
In 51 games at Notre Dame, McKnight started 31 times. He ranks second in school annals with 170 receptions and fifth with 2,277 yards (13.4 avg.). He is tied for second in Irish history with 22 touchdown catches. He rushed twice for losses totaling 2 yards and gained 96 yards on nine punt returns (10.7 avg.). He also posted four tackles (three solos).
