André holds a B.S. in Neuropsychology from
Syracuse
University and is currently working towards CSCS certification. He was a four year member of the inter-collegiate football (CB/PR) and track team and played in three bowl games, received a Big East Honorable Mention in football and is a school record holder for the most blocked punts in a season.
André is a two-time Florida State Track and Field Champion, Penn Relays participant and played in the Florida-Georgia All-Star Game.
USA TODAY named him to the National List of Track and Field Performers and he was awarded All-American Honors as a Track and Field athlete. He was also a top finisher in the 4x400 relay and triple jump at Junior National Championship.
