Biography
Coach Stoddard came to Velocity in 2004 after spending 7 years as the Assitant Strength and Conditioning Coach of the New York Football Giants. As Velocity's Sports Performance Director, Stoddard is responsible for all the training provided to their athletes, through progressive, safe and challenging workouts.
Coach Stoddard started his love for training at early age after reading a story in Sports Illustrated about a running back at the University Of Gerogia named Hershal Walker and his training program which consisted of different types of pushups and sit ups.
After high school he went on to play linebacker at Springfield College in Massachusetts, where he graduated with a degree in Health Fitness. Upon graduation Coach Stoddard started to polish his craft as an intern with the Strength and Conditioning staff at with the San Diego Chargers. From there Coach Stoddard went back to Connecticut and became the Ftiness Director at New Canaan High School.
In 1995 he became a Graduate Assistant at Penn State University as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the football team where he remained till 97' when he started his tenure with the Giants. Coach Stoddard has also spent time as a Speed Consultant for the Philedelphia Eagles (04') and worked with the Jacksonville Jaguars ( 08').
Among his responsibilities as the Sports Performance Director, Stoddard also serves as the Center Director of Velocity Sports Performance of Parsippany.
