Marco Ramirez comes to Velocity Sports Performance from Modesto, CA.  Marco recently completed his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Exercise Science at California State University, Sacramento.  As a Hornet, he participated in the Men’s Soccer Team and helped his team set its’ best season ever in 2005. Marco has been honored as Rookie of the Year, Second-Team All American in both his junior and senior year and MVP at the LIU Tournament in New York.

 

After his successful college career he was invited for tryouts with a few MLS teams:  The LA Galaxy, Chivas USA, Seattle Sounders, (A league) and drafted to the MISL California Cougars in Stockton.  Coach Marco hopes to pursue his professional career by playing a third season with the Sacramento Knights and moving on to the professional ranks.

 

Marco also has his Soccer F license and coached at the Chivas USA Soccer Academy in Woodland, CA. He would like to continue coaching and enhance his knowledge in his chosen field of study.  One day, he would like to be a part of a professional team’s coaching staff or continue coaching at Velocity Sports Performance.

 

Coach Marco is excited for the opportunity at Velocity Sports Performance. He looks forward to helping young athletes succeed in their sport, and share his experiences, knowledge and expertise.
