Bentos Soccer Academy is an official soccer school of European Super Club Sport Lisboa e Benfica of Lisbon, Portugal. SL Benfica Soccer Schools exist in other countries as well as Portugal. Work began in FALL 2006 to establish a number of SL Benfica Soccer Schools in the United States. In July 2007, Bentos Soccer Academy (BSA) held its first summer camp, and began league play two months later.

 

On Monday, July 7, Filipe Bento do O, Director of pro soccer and Joe Marsit, Center Director for Velocity Sports Performance have agreed to join forces to provide the most comprehensive soccer training for the athletes in the Phoenix area.  Combining the movement skills development that Velocity is famous for with the soccer sports skills that experst from Benfica schools can provide will allow athletes to get the most complete soccer training available in the valley.  The first joint camp for Benfica and Velocity will occur on August 30 at Cap Basin Soccer Facility in north Scottsdale.  Be sure to check back on the Velocity website or visit www.azbenfica.org for more details.
