Levels of Training Program
Youth Speed, Power and Agility - this one hour class is designed for athletes under 12. Lessons in speed and agility are taught at a pace to match their development ability. Athletes are instructed by a coach in proper mechanics of running with an emphasis on repetition of drills versus over-correction. Lessons are often followed by agility activities to reinforce the concepts being taught.
Developmental Speed - this one hour speed program is designed for athletes over 12 or those that have mastered the techniques taught at Velocity Sports Performance. Classes are run at a higher pace with more detailed correction of movement and higher power requirements for proper execution of exercises. Each coach-conducted lesson focuses on a different aspect of speed development which in total results in better overall athlete development.
Strength Program - this one hour coach supervised resistance workout is a great compliment to the speed programs at Velocity. Athletes will be guided through core exercise, plyometric and individualized resistance training routines to help them reach their goal of better sports performance on the field or court. The strength program is a great compliment to the running routine to balance out any athlete's development.
Adult Fitness - the adult program at Velocity is a unique training experience designed to improve fitness, but also provide a challenging and fun experience that removes boredom and repetition from your typical workout routine. Coaches conduct each session ensuring proper exercise technique and also keeping each person motivated throughout the class. Our adult program is like having a personal trainer for each session but only paying regular membership prices.
