Biography
Ring has a 44-inch vertical jump making him one of the fiercest competitors at the net and one of the fittest athletes on the AVP Tour. In 2004, he and partner George Roumain captured their first tournament title at the Huntington Beach Open. Ring has played beach volleyball professionally since 2000, and he has advanced to the semifinals in events with three different partners since 2003.
He began playing volleyball at the University of Hawaii and was named 1997 All-American. He was named to the all-tournament team at the 1997 NCAA Championships after his team lost in the title match to UCLA (with Stein Metzger). Ring also spent two years playing alongside Sean Scott in college.
