Biography

Hannemann has been playing professionally for 13 years on the AVP.
 
He is the vice-president and program director for the Dig For Kids Foundation. This nonprofit foundation focuses on giving children from under served communities an opportunity to excel in school and volleyball. Hannemann is also a "Big Brother" with Big Brothers of L.A. He also teaches volleyball to children in Los Angeles and to the Boys and Girls Club of Venice for the AAF (Amateur Athletic Foundation). He also enjoys coaching the varsity girls and boys volleyball teams at Carson High School.

Hannemann is one of the most recognizable players in the world not just because of his successful career but also due to his business ventures and personal appearances. His company "volleyballvacations.com" offers professional volleyball instruction and clinics for adult players numerous times a year in the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Mexico. He also teaches volleyball clinics across the country and conducts clinics at the resort Club Getaway in Connecticut. AL-B is featured as "Mr. December" on the 2004 volleyball magazine calendar. He is also the celebrity emcee at the biggest model/volleyball tournament in the world, "VolleyPalooza," held in Miami Beach. He is the spokesperson for many companies and is a professional model that has worked for Calvin Klein, J-Crew, Polo, Hugo Boss, Versace, and campaigns for Nautica, Abercrombie and Fitch, and the GAP. AL-B has done many TV appearances as he has appeared on Baywatch, MTV, E!TV, Extra, and Inside Edition. He is currently the host for featured segments on XSTV extreme sports shows which is aired over the summer in over 57 million homes weekly.
