Coach “Yo” was born and raised in Okinawa, a small island of Japan.  After he graduated high school in Okinawa, he decided to study in the United States for College.  When he played basketball in Middle School and High School he realized he wanted sports to be a part of his life as he grew older. 

 

Coach Yo graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science emphasis from California State University, Fresno.  After he graduated he decided to stay in the United States to look for more opportunities in the sports performance field.

 

His goal is to be one of the few Japanese strength & performance coaches who studied in the U.S. and someday in the future he wants to bring his experience back to Japan to improve Japanese sports training.
