Developmental 2 Athlete
Christine Hyland
The Ursuline School
Christine Hyland is a 9th grader at The Ursuline School, where she participates and excels in the sport of basketball. Through her dedication to excellence, this year she has the esteemed honor of being one of the youngest members of the Varsity A Basketball team. Her achievement is being recognized by Velocity because traditionally freshmen typically do not make the Varsity A team since these spots are customarily reserved for advanced players. Christine not only excels on the court, but her efforts shine through in the classroom by being considered a leader in her 9th grade class academically.
Before The Ursuline School she played for Our Lady of Sorrows and The Lady Knicks AAU travel team which competes from spring through late summer. Christine believes undoubtedly that Velocity has not only improved her quickness and strength on the court, but she is now able to compete with a higher level of confidence when she faces her opponents. She is a very dedicated athlete, and her diligence while training with us since June has without a doubt proven that hard work does in fact pay off!!
